Who Needs Enemies?

I could be wrong — but it seems to me having all the clowns jumping out of the crazy car chanting your name may not be the best thing for a campaign – certainly one with as much historical baggage as Newt is already carrying.  Even Saintly Santorum took a few good swings at Gingrich in the debate tonight.  Having Perry and Palin on your team surely isn’t going to help much in the long run — unless when he’s done with this round – he wants a position on Dancing With The Stars.

And – in the greatest oxymoron ever:  Rick Perry said America needs a President “who is humbler” – then endorsed NEWT for the job.  If that isn’t Jumbo Shrimp – I don’t know what is!

  1. I will not lie, hearing the notion of an open relationship was something that I really expected to hear regarding Romney…also how do we know that Newt doesn’t have an open relationship with his current wife? I mean she was previously willing to “share” so what’s stopping them from having that now? This is like bad day time television…I just can’t stop watching… @_@

    • Ha ha ha – yes this is definitely like watching “the stories” – or maybe a parody of them on the old Carol Burnett show.

To me “open” and “marriage” are opposite terms and don’t belong together. “Marriage” means you’re not “Open”. I guess what bothers me is Newt’s determination to block marriage equality for others, while completely trashing the institution himself.

My big question is: Are there really that many women who want to have sex with Newt? Ew.

  2. It’s only getting nuttier. It’s as though this nut barrel has no bottom. I will be amazed, shocked! if Newt wins South Carolina. If all those evangelists buy into his false claims about how much he’s changed, they are more delusional than I thought.

    • I think Saintly Santorum will do really well with the Southern Bible Belt – but when he gets into the rest of the country – and has to face independent voters (most of whom are not extreme social conservatives/evangelicals) he’s not sustainable. Democrat or Republican – I think few want his brand of Theocracy for this nation.

  3. A “humber” … now that surely fits the pompous one. Poor Belle.

    • The good news is, the more successful he gets – the more likely the Pompous One is to make some huge misstatement or mistake. It’s all about time.

Belle has always been politically active – but she said today she thought she might just talk a walk until the convention. The stress is making her ears twitch. But, she’ll come around. Once a politics hound, always one.

  4. The Kiss of Death: Perry and Palin endorsements.

  5. Every relationship Newt has is an “open” one. This probably includes his business and political relationships as well. As soon as he gets a better offer, or something catches his eye, bang!
