Democracy Doesn’t Work Here Anymore…
Sadly, “do nothing” seems to have become the major strategy for politicians on both sides of the aisle. Our economy is tanking, we do nothing. Corrupt banks messed up our financial systems – we bail them out, and do nothing. The House passes bills they know the Senate won’t pass. The Senate offers compromises they know the house won’t take, and the President just keeps saying they need to get it together. All the while NOTHING keeps happening. Every other candidate is blasting Newt Gingrich in Iowa while he continues to “maintain a positive campaign” and do nothing to address the issues – and he is taking a nose dive in the polls. It’s amazing the “do nothing” ideology seems to be so popular, considering it simply doesn’t work.
I think this is one of the main reasons Occupy Wall Street captivates so many people – whether or not you always understand what they are doing — at least they are doing something.

I’m sure those dogs combined have less fleas than the average “Occupy Wall Street” commie.
The Beaglez are horrified by the thought of fleas, and would have you know they all use Frontline and do not have any fleas.
As for the OWS folks – I don’t personally know any of them – so I can’t tell you if they have fleas or are commies. I’m not wiling to judge them, but I have confessed from the beginning I don’t fully understand their methodology. But, I do think they are a sea of action in a pit of inaction — and I think that is what attracts many people to pay attention to them.
This one is super cute. Love it~!
Thanks Dan! I appreciate your reading and the compliment.
Love the humor in this one … and the pics and words match is outstanding .. and the point is sad … Meanwhile, will Newt fall enough to affect Iowa? Only time will tell.
Thanks, Frank. The pic-word match is always one of the hardest parts (besides trying to find humor in our current political arena) — I told the beagles they needed acting classes, and they said I needed photography lessons. So, we did nothing.
I am also starting to wonder if Iowa is really “much ado about nothing” – will it really even matter in the long run considering there are 49 other states.
As always, thanks for stopping by. The hounds and I appreciate it.
